Fundraising is in the bag!
CLYNK has changed the way you run a bottle drive. With a CLYNK account, you can hand out
our trademark green bags – tagged with your account barcode – and your supporters
use them to return their Maine redeemable bottles and cans. Every time someone drops off a bag,
we process the bag and credit the deposit total to your organization's CLYNK account.
It's easy for them, easy for you, and works all year long.
Example:
If your organization has 20 supporters, and each one returns a bag a week, you'll make over $3,000 every year.*
*based on an average bag worth $3.00
Signing up is easy. Just call our office at 866-883-4113, and we'll get you started.
Here are some questions we hear most often from organizations like you:
How do I set up a fundraising account?
Complete a CLYNK application listing an individual's name as the Primary
Account Holder. This will be the person that is responsible for the account. Please list the
name of your organization under the Secondary Account Holder.
Can I set the account up in an organization's name?
No, accounts should be set up in the name of an individual. That individual is
responsible for purchasing bags, printing tags and printing payment slips. The Primary Account Holder
can be changed by calling CLYNK at 1-866-883-4113 Monday thru Friday between 9am and 5pm.
Can an organization have multiple accounts?
Yes. The primary cardholder is responsible for maintaining the accounts.
Can I have someone else on the account with me?
Yes, additional names may be added you the account if you want others to have access to the account.
How many bags can I purchase at once?
If you are purchasing more than 20 bags, please contact 1-866-883-4113
Monday thru Friday between 9am and 5pm, so that bags and tags will be ready for you to pick
up when you arrive at your local participating Hannaford. Please give a minimum 48 hours notice.
What do I do after I get my bags?
After you have received your bags, please sticker each bag with a bag tag.
Distribute the bags to those members of your group who wish to participate in the fundraiser.
Make sure to inform them of the procedure for dropping bags for donation.
Can my organization use CLYNK for a bottle drive?
This is not a traditional bottle drive. Please do not specify a day that all
bags are to be dropped. Bags should come to CLYNK as the individual fills them up. This is a
long-term fundraising opportunity.
Can anybody distribute the CLYNK bags?
We recommend that the Primary Account Holder be responsible for picking up the
bags and bag tags. That way your participants will be sure to receive bags that are tagged to go
into your fundraising account.
Do I get a discount on bags because they are for a non-profit?
No, CLYNK bags are already competitively priced and are sold at a participating
Hannaford. Large bags are $1.50 for a sleeve of 10 and small bags are $1.25 for a sleeve of 10.
