What is CLYNK?

CLYNK is a quick and easy service for redeeming bottles and cans.

How does it work?

It's easy. bag it: Fill the CLYNK bag with Maine redeemables.tag it: Adhere the bag tag to the CLYNK bag. drop it: Drop the bag off at a CLYNK location in any participating Hannaford. done: Just swipe your CLYNK card at the CLYNK Drop Door, open the door, drop the CLYNK bags in, close and you are done.

What happens to my redeemables?

Your bottles and cans will be sent to CLYNK to be counted and a credit will be applied to your CLYNK account within 2 business days.

When is CLYNK open?

CLYNK Drop and Go service is available during all store hours.

What kind of bags can I use?

Customers must use CLYNK Bags. They are 100% recyclable bags, which mean they won't end up in a landfill. With each new account sign-up, the first sleeve of CLYNK bags is free.

Where/how do I get more bags?

Additional bags may be purchased in sleeves of 10 at a participating Hannaford. Large bags are $1.50/sleeve and small bags are $1.25/sleeve.

What is the purpose of a CLYNK bag tag?

The tag identifies the account that will receive credit for the bag being dropped.

Where can I get bag tags?

CLYNK tags can be printed from a CLYNK kiosk.

How many redeemables do I put in my CLYNK Bag?

An average small CLYNK bags holds between 10-60 containers depending on type of container being redeemed. Please do not overload your CLYNK bags with glass. 20 pounds is the weight limit (you can mix plastic, glass, and aluminum). Please leave enough room to tie off the top with a good knot.

How many CLYNK bags can I return each time using Drop & Go?

As many as you want. There is no limit when using CLYNK Drop & Go bottle return. Beginning March 1, 2010, Maine law will require that anyone dropping off 2,500 or more containers in one day will be required to provide a license plate number to complete the transaction.

If I decide not to get a CLYNK card, can I still redeem my bottles and cans?

No, currently only the CLYNK Drop & Go process is available.

How do I get my money or check my balance from my CLYNK account?

Go to a CLYNK Kiosk inside Hannaford, scan your CLYNK card and enter your PIN. You will be able to check your balance or print out a payment slip. You can also view your balance online at www.clynk.com.

How do I get cash from my Payment Slip?

Bring the Payment Slip to the Hannaford Customer Service Desk to exchange for cash.

Can I use CLYNK payment slips to make purchases at Hannaford?

Sure. You can use the payment slip toward your Hannaford purchase by giving it to the cashier when you checkout.

Can I use my CLYNK card at the cash register?

No. Please, go to a CLYNK Kiosk to print out a payment slip first.

What do I do if I lost my card or I can't remember my PIN number?
